If you don't know the exact location, we'll ask you to use the official city search tool, which will indicate the section, row, and grave number after entering the details.

Why don't we retrieve this information automatically?
Official search tools don't allow external systems to retrieve their data, so we can't do this for you. However, you can easily use them yourself — and we'll handle the rest, providing the service fully legally, reliably, and in compliance with applicable regulations.

Will I receive photos after the service is completed?

Accepted Answer

Yes, every service ends with a detailed photo report showing the results of the work performed and includes a short note from the caretaker.
We ensure the highest quality reports, but it's worth remembering that the final result may be affected by weather conditions and the surroundings of the resting place.

Question 3

How quickly will the order be completed?

Accepted Answer

Standard completion time is 1–7 business days (depending on the type of service, material availability, etc.) from order confirmation.

Once the work is complete, you immediately receive a notification with access to the photo report.

Can I order regular grave care?

Currently, we mainly handle one-time orders. If you need regular care (e.g., monthly), please email us.

We're working on an automatic subscription system that will allow you to order recurring visits directly from the platform. For now, we're a small team just starting out — but we're growing rapidly and listening to your needs.

All payments in our system are processed by Stripe — a global leader in secure online transactions. Stripe provides full data encryption, direct connection with banks, and PCI DSS Level 1 certification protection.

In the UK, the main payment methods are debit/credit cards and digital wallets, which we fully support through Stripe. This allows you to pay quickly and securely.

Payment data is not stored by us — everything is handled by Stripe, which guarantees the highest level of security.

Styks is a platform connecting customers with independent service providers — we don't perform services directly. However, we want every order to be completed perfectly.

If something goes wrong, contact us — we'll help as a mediator to resolve the issue. All services are documented with photos, so the situation is transparent for both parties.

Through our rating system, we eliminate unreliable service providers and maintain quality on the platform.

Are service providers verified?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All service providers undergo verification before being admitted to the platform. We check contact details, experience, and reviews from previous orders.

What additional services can I order?

Accepted Answer

Beyond standard cleaning and maintenance, you can ask the service provider for additional work — e.g., replacing candle inserts, placing fresh flowers, minor repairs, prayer in a special intention, or lighting a candle on a special day.

Describe your needs in the order, and the service provider will quote and propose a solution.

What we don't offer?
We don't provide funeral services, don't erect headstones, and don't perform work requiring specialist construction equipment. Such services are the domain of stonemasons and funeral homes.

Can I order a service for a cemetery outside Warsaw?

At launch, we serve selected Warsaw cemeteries. If you need care outside the capital, leave us your contact through the form — we plan to expand coverage and will gladly include your location in future stages.

How often should graves be cleaned?

Accepted Answer

Frequency depends on location and season. We recommend:

• **Minimum twice a year** – in spring (March/April) and before All Saints' Day (October)
• **Optimally 3-4 times a year** – additionally in summer and after winter
• **Year-round packages (6 visits)** – every 2 months, ideal for those living far away

Graves in the shade of trees require more frequent cleaning due to falling leaves. Granite headstones are less demanding than terrazzo, which requires regular washing and impregnation.

How much does grave cleaning in Warsaw cost?

Estimated prices based on market research (December 2025):

• Single grave: **£23-34**
• Double grave: **£34-48**
• Tomb: **£48-76**
• 3 visits per year package: **£61-86**
• 6 visits per year package: **£110-137**

Pricing depends on grave size, headstone material, degree of dirt and location. **Photo report always included in price** – you don't pay extra for photos.

After platform launch, you'll receive specific quotes from verified providers and choose the best for you.

Granite headstones are the most popular and relatively easy to clean:

**Basic cleaning:**

**Stubborn stains:**
• Specialist granite cleaners
• Polishing paste (restores shine)
• DON'T use: acids, bleaches, abrasive cleaners

**Frequency:** 2-3 times a year is sufficient. Granite is weather-resistant.

Our providers use professional granite-safe products and have appropriate equipment (pressure washers with adjustable settings).

Terrazzo requires a gentler approach than granite:

**WARNING:** Terrazzo is porous and sensitive to chemicals!

• Very soft brush
• Thorough rinsing
• Waxing 1-2 times per year (protection)

Yes, you can order **partial service** tailored to your needs.

In the order form, describe exactly what you need:
• Only headstone washing and polishing
• Only surrounding maintenance (without cleaning the slab)
• Only candle replacement
• Only weeding and ground leveling

Providers will prepare quotes matching your requirements. Price will be correspondingly lower than for comprehensive cleaning.

Remember: **photo report is always included**, even with minimal service scope.

How can I find a grave at the cemetery if I don't know the section?

There are several ways to locate a grave:

**1. Online search (fastest):**

• You'll receive: cemetery, section, row, number

**2. Directly at the cemetery:**
• Cemetery administration (building at entrance)
• Provide deceased person's details
• Receive printout with location

**3. Through our platform:**
While ordering service, we'll help you locate the grave. If you don't know the exact section, our providers will contact cemetery administration and find the location.

**IMPORTANT:** Prepare: name, surname, birth and death dates of the deceased.

Do you provide cleaning services in winter?

Accepted Answer

**Yes, we provide services year-round**, including winter period.

**Winter service scope (November-March):**
✓ Snow removal from grave
✓ Ice removal from headstone (safe methods)
✓ Candle replacement
✓ Grave condition monitoring after frost
✓ Photo report

**Winter limitations:**
• Headstone washing only in temperatures above 5°C (risk of cracking when water freezes)
• Ground work only when soil is not frozen
• Polishing and waxing suspended until spring

**We recommend:**
Visit before winter (October/November) – securing grave against frost and spring visit (March/April) – comprehensive cleaning after winter.

Year-round packages automatically include seasonal visits.

What if weather prevents service completion on the scheduled date?

We have a transparent weather policy:

• Heavy rain
• Storm, strong winds
• Extreme frost (below -10°C)
• Black ice preventing safe movement

**What happens:**
1. Provider informs you about rescheduling (email/SMS)
2. Proposes nearest possible date
3. You can accept or choose another day
4. **You bear no additional costs**

**If service was partially completed:**
• You receive report of what was done
• No additional payment for completion at new date

**Discretion:**
This is a very personal service – providers treat it with full respect and discretion. No photos from this part of service (privacy protection).
